Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Chapter — available as a website and as an iOS and Android app — processes the personal data of registered users, pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Data controller

The data controller is V01D — Valentino De Stefano. For privacy requests you can write to voidagency.studio@gmail.com.

Data we collect

• Account data: the email address and name provided when you sign in with Google, and the display name you choose.
• Usage data: the shows in your library, the episodes you mark as watched, ratings, rewatches and the comments you post.
• Technical data: IP address and technical logs, processed by our providers for security and service operation.

Purposes and legal basis

• Providing the service (account management, saving your progress) — legal basis: performance of the service you requested.
• Publishing comments, visible to other users — legal basis: your consent/voluntary action.
• Security and abuse prevention — legitimate interest.

Providers and data transfers

To run the service we rely on providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Google (OAuth sign-in) and TMDB (show data). Some of these may process data outside the European Union; in that case the transfer takes place on the basis of appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses).

App and on-device storage

The iOS and Android app uses no tracking cookies or profiling tools: only the sign-in session, needed to keep you authenticated, is stored on the device. The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play; download and installation are also subject to Apple’s and Google’s privacy policies.

Retention

We keep your data as long as you maintain your account. When you delete your account (from the Profile page, on the web or in the app) the associated data is erased.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection to processing. You can exercise them by writing to voidagency.studio@gmail.com, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.

Minors

The service is not intended for children under 14; we do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.
